Head to National Sawdust for this live motion capture-performance designed and choreographed with inspiration from an ancestral, sacred geometry as well as the embodied elements of water, fire, earth and wind. Throughout the show, the dancers' movements are captured and translated in real-time to a 3D model that emits different particle systems. The project is a collaborative endeavor between the Interactive Telecommunications and Integrated Digital Media programs at New York University, including Ruudy Liu, Lajune McMillian, Sergio Mora-Diaz and Kat Sullivan. Supply the music will be Brooklyn-based keyboard player and bassist Darren Solomon, who has toured with the likes of Ray Charles, and Australian sound-instrument designer Alon Ilsar, artist in residence at PIMA, Brooklyn College. Snag tickets onlie for $15 or $20 at the door.
