The world of ballet has many facets, but none so delightedly queer as Adult Ballez, Katy Pyle's theory-aware, liberation-forward dance class. Pyle—a major figure in Off-Off Broadway performance—is using a real ballet class (barre and partnering) to radically reimagine the "imperialist" roots of the dance form, moving away from virtuosity and using what Pyle calls Authentic (fantasy) Movement. Gibney Dance also offers more traditional ballet classes, but this is the only one where you can embrace the tutu while giving the finger to the patriarchy. Jeté off, man.
