Hype Dykes brings their meme account to life with their monthly comedy shows in Brooklyn. One such show is Welcome to Dykea, a stand-up event celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and showcasing a wide range of queer talent.
Head to The Bush (333 Troutman St) in Bushwick from 7:30pm to 11pm on October 29 for the spooky edition of the show, Welcome to Dykea: Halloween Edition. Wear your best Halloween costume and watch a spectacular lineup of queer comedians “who you'll love so much you'll want to adopt a dog and move upstate with them,” quip organizers. The best costume in the audience will also win a prize.
The show is hosted by Aby James and Keira McGill, the on-stage talent will include funny folks like Dezzy, Calvin Cato, Ellis Durand, Max Higgins and Reid Pope. Tickets are $8 online and $10 at the door.
