Millennials, this one’s for you. Inspired by the golden age of boy bands—your Backstreet Boys, your Boyz II Men, your NSYNC—this musical sketch show follows the “chaotic, on-stage collapse of multi-ethnic boyband, the Groove Guys.”
Stars Ja-Ron Young, Izaak Sunleaf, James Koroni, Warren Chao, Devin O'Neill and Connor Bowen will perform fun-loving parodies of your favorite boy-band songs as the mystery that breaks up the singing group unfolds live on stage. The show “explores perceived identity versus real identity, particularly along the lines of race and class,” event organizers say. But if that’s sounding heavy, don’t be fooled—it’s in “the dumbest, funniest, most irreverent way possible,” the creators promise.
See it on Friday, March 1 at Caveat on the Lower East Side.
