Imagine for a moment that a resurrected Queen Mary Tudor got a chance to defend her legacy of burning 293 Protestants at the stake ... through stand-up comedy. Then you'd have Bloody Mary: Live!, a standup show coming to Caveat on Saturday, January 7.
The show's fresh off a critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the show's amassing an international fan base of history buffs and anyone who's experienced teenage angst. In the show, a teenage version of the queen takes to the mic for a night of revisionist history. Olivia Miller, the show's writer/performer, promises it'll be "a gleefully vicious stand-up special."
