By the age of 17, young Floridian Marcel "XXYYXX" Everett had already secured a much-lauded position at the head of the hip-hop beatsmith vanguard with his two albums of slightly abstracted, vaguely Weeknd-esque electronic-soul grooves. In the years since those releases, he's stayed relatively quiet, but as evidenced by his latest single "Red," aging has only matured the smoky sound.
