Stop by art institution the Studio Museum in Harlem for a chance to mingle with a neighborhood crowd. There’ll be a deejayed dance party in the breezy courtyard, a guided tour of one of the current exhibitions and free popcorn. ExÐHercules and Love Affair member Shaun J. Wright (Fri 26) spins electro and house music; DJ Designer Imposter (Aug 9) throws down dance-punk and hip-hop and the Terence Nance–directed short film The Triptych will be screened; while Venus X (Aug 23) promises a mishmash of underground rap, international club bangers and obscure global sounds, like Dominican street music. Show up early for happy hour from 6 to 7pm.
