The Crystal Ark

The fine folks at Abracadabra, in conjunction with Justine D, present a live performance from the Crystal Ark. Headed up by DFA's resident wizard, Gavin Russom, and multimedia artist Viva Ruiz (and featuring Tyler Pope and Jaiko Suzuki, among other NYC-underground notables), the band purveys a kind of paganistic synth-pop that's alternately hypnotic and funky; while the live set could be funny, weird, awe inspiring or—most likely—all three. DJ sets come courtesy of House of House's Saheer Umar and $hayne from Ghe20 Goth1k.
