Roots: Kenny Bobien Record-Release Party

Masters at Work’s Louie Vega and Blaze’s Kevin Hedge—two guys who have long been fighting to keep the soul in NYC’s club scene—dig through their collections and spin the music that got us here. Tonight, they're aided in that endeavor by Kenny Bobien, the great gospel-house vocalist who'll perform live (with a full choir) in celebration of his new LP, Defined Up. The album is being released on SoulArt, a new label headed up by Bobien and Abigail Adams, the proprietor of the seminal NJ vinyl shop, Movin' Records.
