Keep on Dancin': Remembering Mel Cheren with the Music of the Paradise Garage

This party invokes the spirit of one of nightlife history's most influential clubs, Paradise Garage, along with its late cofounder, Mel Cheren. To that end, the organizers have secured the services of several heavy-duty spinners, with Grammy-winning, near-legendary veteran David Morales and Strictly Rhythm recording artist Quentin Harris playing house, disco and classic cuts from (or inspired by) the revered nightspot's playlist. Proceeds from the event benefit the HIV/AIDS prevention and support programs of AREA, GMHC and Lifebeat.
