On Saturday, June 8, DJ Jus-Ed’s Underground Quality label returns to Output—this time in the club’s recently opened Panther Room—for another night of superlative deep–house action. Hooray! And even better, Ed and his crew will be spinning alongside the DJ, producer and head honcho of the Slaag Records label, Glenn Thornton. House fans of a certain age will remember Thornton as the resident of the Together in Spirit tea dance early in this millennium, before that torch was passed to Kim Lightfoot; more recently, he’s plied his spinning trade at Philly’s Breathe affair. The veteran has supplied us with this mix of soulful house rhythms—check it out, and then hit the dance floor when he steps up to the decks.
