The Bushwick Owners and Organizers Movement, a.k.a. BOOM, takes over the diverse Brooklyn neighborhood for four days beginning Thursday, September 29. The new community-based event series will host a variety of free music performances and art installations—including Saturday's 12-hour BOOM Rave, organized by local techno diplomats Seva Granik (Unter) and Frankie Decaiza Hutchinson (Discwoman). New York's key ambassadors of the underground electronic music scene are billed for DJ sets: Discwoman co-founder and 1080p artist Umfang, robotic acid sensation Volvox, ex-Hercules & Love Affair member Kim Ann Foxman, Brooklyn's Octo Octa, Analog Soul's Jacky Sommer and LSDXOXO (GHE20G0TH1K). Suzi Analogue performs live. R.S.V.P. for free entry.
