Under the musical alias Actress, U.K. producer Darren Cunningham creates beautifully crafted soundscapes that flow effortlessly despite their detailed patterns. Much of his work is out on his own Werkdiscs label (track down the recent Ghettoville for a taste of his scorched-earth version of dance music). Also on the bill is Gang Gang Dance member Tim DeWit's Dutch E Germ project, making its live debut, and opener Huerco S. of Software Records, who has a deconstructed take on house music.
