Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra

Conductor Sakari Oramo makes a rare stateside appearance at the head of the distinguished Swedish orchestra for which he served as music director until last year, having replaced none other than the New York Philharmonic's Alan Gilbert. The program includes Rolf Martinsson's Open Mind, Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 (with soloist Ray Chen), Sibelius's Symphony No. 2 and smaller works by Grieg and Stenhammar.
