New York Festival of Song: Harlem Renaissance

Hosting and playing piano for this program, NYFOS directors Steven Blier and Michael Barrett accompany soprano Julia Bullock and other singers in this salute to an early-20th-century cadre of American composers that includes J. Rosamond Johnson, William Grant Still and Florence Price. (Items from Ellington, Strayhorn and Waller also make the program, as do readings of works by Langston Hughes and other writers.)
