[title]
The star of this week’s issue of Time Out New York, Lena Dunham, has become one of the city’s biggest pop culture icons. So it was only fitting that she get the most New York City treatment possible on our cover: an Andy Warhol-style Pop Art screen print. To create the image, artist Chad Silver made an original silk screen of Dunham’s face, and printed it over a variety of colors and textures. Curious how it was done? You can see the entire process in our behind-the-scenes video and slideshow.
In addition to the print we published, we’ve got two other original works, which we are giving away to our readers. How do you win, you ask? Simple.
Tomorrow (January 23) from 11am-6pm, we will tweet a quote from our Lena Dunham interview once an hour, with the hashtag #timeoutcoverslena. If you follow us during the day and retweet or reply to any of those tweets before midnight, you’ll be entered to win. Then we will pick two lucky readers at random, and get in touch through Twitter to notify the winners.
Good luck, and get tweeting!
