This week, in an attempt to simplify the oh-so-complicated process of ordering pizza, Domino's announced the launch of a new campaign where hungry users could simply tweet the pizza emoji at the restaurant to place an order. Brilliant no?
Not according to Williamsburg Pizza purveyor Ashwin Deshmukh, who responded in kind by launching his own promotion in what may be the most epic troll in pizza history.
For a limited time, when you tweet @dominos a pizza emoji (?) + your favorite @WburgPizza pie, that pie is on me. https://t.co/L7pSQE0Fcf

That's right. Deshmukh, who apparently hates Domino’s with a passion most of us will never actually experience in our lives, announced via Twitter that for every person who tweets at Domino’s with the pizza emoji plus their favorite Williamsburg Pizza pie, he too would send out a pizza—only this one would be on him.
And he wasn’t kidding either. Deshmukh has already sent out four to five free pies, and plans on giving away more in the coming days. So why all the hate you ask? “I like picking on them.” Deshmukh told DNAinfo, "It’s just insane to me that anyone would live in New York City and order Domino’s." Preach, man.
