Didn’t get invite to opening night at the Met Opera AGAIN this year? (Weird, right?) Well, you can still join in on the festivities next Monday from the comfort of the middle of Times Square.

For the twelfth year in a row, the Metropolitan Opera’s opening night will be transmitted live to large screens set up at Military Island (between 43rd and 44th Streets) and Duffy Square (between 46th and 47th Streets).

Beginning at 6:30pm, you’ll be able to watch the opening performance of Vincenzo Bellini’s Norma from one of 2,000 seats set up in the bustling thoroughfare. The free event is first come, first seated and will also feature food and drink offerings from the TSQ MKT food kiosks during intermission.
