New Yorkers in all five boroughs have their beloved neighborhood bars; but nothing comes as close as to the love NYC has for Union Hall.

This past March, a fire broke out in the Park Slope bar and it has been closed since. Since then, the bar's lineup of music events and stand-up comedy have been taking place in another Brooklyn staple, The Bell House. For years, Union Hall has attracted big names such as John Mulaney, Reggie Watts and SNL's Michael Che; along with rising stars like Matteo Lane, Jo Firestone, and Julio Torres.

Thank you @johnmulaney!

Thankfully, the end of construction is in sight. Announced yesterday, Union Hall will re-start shows in their basement while work continues on the upper level. The Union Hall Basement Series starts on May 15, with the promise of music, comedy and drinks. No word on who will be kicking off the series, but we can assure you that it will be a can't miss party.
