Two adorable baby sea lions make their debut at the Bronx Zoo

Give it up to the Bronx for crushing its cuteness quota for the month: this week, the Bronx Zoo Wildlife Conservation Society introduced two new sea lion pups to the public.

The still-unnamed little guys were born in June to different mothers—Indy and Margaretta— and the same father, the Zoo's resident bull Clyde. While the lion born to Indy has been identified as male, the gender of Margaretta's little one has not been confirmed. The arrival of the two shiny brothers is especially welcome, as Clyde was originally set to be euthanized before being rescued by the Bronx Zoo.

Born at about 20 pounds each, the sea lions are still relatively small, but that won't last too long: female sea lions can grow to weigh up to 250 pounds, and males can clock in at 700.

So far, the brothers have been beaching themselves in the sunlight, taking dives in the water, and barking—a lot. Maybe they've got suggestions for what we should name them?
