The annual event is one of the tristate area's most popular Halloween happenings, and it's easy to see why... but, okay, we'll spell it out for you: It's a fall-lover's paradise featuring more than 7,000 intricately carved jack o'lanterns positioned into different shapes such as the Headless Horseman, flying ghosts and dinosaurs, which shine along the riverside near Van Cortlandt Manor.
The Halloween-themed installation is undoubtedly gourdeous, but the experience is more than a walk-through art exhibit. Before entering the jack o'lantern maze, there are food tents selling autumnal fare such as hot cider, apple doughnuts and more treats. There's also a mini-market selling Halloween paraphernalia.
Seriously, don't hesitate to get tickets because this event will sell out in an instant. (Get them here.) It's going to be a blaze! Er, we mean blast!
