There's no better time than summer for a huge helping of tacos and margaritas. Luckily the backyard of the Pines is helping hungry New Yorkers everywhere—by opening a taco pop-up and market in their backyard.
The pop-up, named Josephina, opens May 21 and will serve tacos made with locally-sourced ingredients, plus tortillas cooked on a wood-fired grill and made in-house daily. The menu includes lamb barbacoa, cohcinita pibil, carne asada, chorizo con papas and vegetarian tacos, plus desserts like paletas and sweet masa cake.
Opening day runs from noon to 10pm, and regular hours are Thursday and Friday 5–10pm and Friday and Saturday noon to 10pm. A market with goods like local flowers and herbs, clothing and ceramics will also be open on weekends.
