These are the year’s best food trucks in NYC

The Vendy Awards are rapidly approaching—this year’s food-truck festivities will be held at Governor's Island on September 17—and, with today's announcement of the four vendors up for the coveted Vendy Cup, the full list of finalists is finally in.

This year’s Vendy Cup contenders include Venezuelan sandwich outfit Cachapas on Wheels, homestyle Oaxacan vendor Tacos el Rancho, lamb-burger cart Traditional Chinese Cuisine and pastelitos purveyor Gladis' Empanadas. The formidable foursome will be judged by a panel of seven industry pros, including vegan chef Chloe Coscarelli, Munchies editor-in-chief Helen Hollyman and the Meatball Shop owner Daniel Holzman.
