That New York was well-represented among this year's nominees for the 2016 James Beard Awards shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. The lineup for this year's awards includes a rookie neobistro, a next-level absinthe-fueled bar program and world-class pastry chefs. The winners in the Restaurant and Chef categories will be announced at an awards gala at the Lyric Opera of Chicago on Monday, May 2.
