Judging by New York’s current weather forecast, it appears we have to endure a few more April showers before we can fully enjoy May. (Bummer.) What's worse is this weekend is loaded with amazing things to do outside, but due to the rain, a few noteworthy events have been postponed.
Heavy hitters such as Frieze New York art fair and most Cinco de Mayo celebrations are still going strong. (However, we will keep you updated if that changes!) But if you were planning to spend your weekend sipping margaritas at one of the best rooftop bars, you might want to reconsider. For now, check out our list of fun indoor activities as well as things to do on a rainy day. And re-mark your calendars for the events below which are now scheduled for a later date.
Governors Island's Open-Late Party
For one-day only, Governors Island plans to stay open late (until 9pm) so visitors can linger and savor the island's many amenities, and watch the sunset! This event is now rescheduled for Friday, May 12. All other event details are still the same.
Astor Blaster Silent Disco
The very beloved Astor Place cube turns 50 this year. To celebrate the milestone, there will be a massive (and free!) silent disco at Astor Place. The event is now postponed until June 9.
