Instead of just tweeting about it, a crowd of New Yorkers are gathering in Times Square to protest Donald Trump’s decision to not allow transgender people in the military. They gathered at 5pm at the U.S. Army recruiting center in Times Square, with signs saying “RESIST” and “WE OBJECT.”

Trump tweeted this morning: “The United States Government will not accept or allow...... ...Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming..... ....victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you” [sic].
