When most people think of ball pits, the first things that comes to mind are the questionably maintained, brightly colored, potential pandemic breeding grounds that were once attached to every McDonald’s like conspicuous cold sores. Ask any '90s kid about their happy days spent rolling around in a pile of dented balls, stomachs full of French fries, and you’re bound to hear plenty of fond memories of gnarly hidden discoveries and thoroughly inappropriate pit behavior. Now, you can experience some of that special joy for yourself.
From today through Sunday, all the child-like freedom and unbridled self-expression that comes from being submerged in a pit of spherical plastic can be yours. It's all thanks to a temporary “pop-up flavor studio” from Perrier that’s taken over 63 Greene Street in Soho to celebrate the brand’s two newest flavors: Perrier Strawberry and Perrier Watermelon. The balls are the bubbles. Get it?
In addition to the Instagram-worthy bubble pit, the activity-filled experience will have live DJ sets every afternoon, a wall that lets you create a drawing then screen-print it on a canvas bag, a free nail art station and, most appropriately, an on-site mocktail bar serving up free samples of the brand’s newest flavors.
At the end of the day though, let’s get real. You’re going for that ball pit.
