The speakeasy casino in Manhattan you never knew existed

In the mood for a few rounds of Blackjack or trying your luck at poker? Well, you don’t have to go all the way to Sands or Atlantic City to whip out your best James Bond impression.

Big Deal Casino, on the corner of 28th St and 5th Ave, is a permanent casino in heart of Manhattan. You’ll probably encounter a lot less fanny packs than you would at Mohegan Sun, but the underground venue does boast eight blackjack tables, craps, roulette, baccarat and poker. The tables come straight from the Atlantic Casino in Atlantic City and the dealers are all authentic casino croupiers.

No, you can't play for money (that would be illegal, duh) but Big Deal is a casino school that offers lessons ranging from “carnival games” to “skills assessment” in a speakeasy setting. So not only could you could learn how to destroy your friends at poker night, but you'd also look pretty cool doing it by regularly sneaking away to a secret casino. Just like Rollins on Law and Order: SVU.

You can find out more about renting the space for private parties and events here (Rudolph Roulette holiday party, anyone?) and you can find out more about successful gambling techniques here.
