One of the best ways to get to the beach in the summer, the NYC Beach Bus, is coming back this year with even more options for summer fun. In addition to the trips to the Rockaways and Jacob Riis Beach that they’re known for, the yellow school busses will be expanding service to Fire Island (an estimated hour drive), Jones Beach and Robert Moses. (Yay!)

The company is also starting a new program at Jacob Riis Beach where you can reserve beach chairs and umbrellas online before your arrival. The chairs will cost $10 with an extra $5 for the umbrellas. (What is this, Mykonos??) It will be a great way to get to Riis Park Beach Bazaar on the weekends this summer.

Trips to the Rockways and Jacob Riis Beach begin May 23 while trips to Fire Island, Robert Moses and Jones Beach start June 21 with a $25 price. The complimentary Sixpoint is coming back, too! See you at the beach.
