The Lower East Side Film Festival is more than just your average film festival. Running from June 8 to 15, its events also include things like an ice cream social. The full schedule was just released, and we highly recommend getting your tickets now. Yes, the festival has also movie screenings, but they’re not your average movie screenings. For example, on June 12 you have to identify as a feminist to get a $16 ticket. The seventh annual festival will also have opening and closing night parties, stand-up from some of NYC’s best comedians and screenings of Christmas movies, because why not.
Need even more incentive to check it out? Most of the events are held at the iconic Landmark Sunshine Cinema, so it's your chance to visit one last time before it unfortunately shuts down next year.
