The Bronx Zoo welcomes a brand-new adorable baby otter

Meet the Bronx Zoo's newest resident.

The world-famous zoo debuted an adorable new Asian small-clawed otter pup this week to their award-winning jungle habitat, JungleWorld. The adorable otter pup is especially noteworthy as Asian small-clawed otters occupy a shrinking range in Southeast Asia. The species is currently classified as “vulnerable” by IUCN.

The new otter joins a colony of “critically endangered” Rodrigues Fruit Bats that were also recently added to the jungle habitat. Arguably, they are far less adorable.
