Grab those shades and lather on some sunscreen, because after last weekend's dreary 24 hours of rain and sudden storms, New York's weather is bypassing spring and heading straight to summer.
Midway through the week the city will be sunny and straight-up balmy, with temperatures forecasted to rise to 88 on Wednesday and 89 on Thursday.

Don't start planning your weekend getaway to the beach just yet, though. On Saturday, the thermometer is predicted to stay below 72 while Sunday will be even colder with a high of 68.

While that temperature dip might seem unfair (why do the weekdays have all the good heat?), that's right around the historical average for mid-May, which is a high of 72 degree and low of 55. It's also definitely still warm enough for those brunch plans at a rooftop bar. Cheers!
