Astrologically speaking, the supermoon on Monday November 14 couldn't come at a better time. The jumbo-sized edition of this month's full moon (and the third supermoon this fall) is believed to bring renewal and rejuvenation to our spirits as we recover from the cosmic calamity that has been the 2016 presidential election. Outside of astrology, the moon is going to be HUGE next Monday—at 226 miles from the earth, it will be the biggest moon to show up this century until a 2034 reprisal. So, rather than catch a peak while your Q train passes the bridge, make a night of it on a super moon cruise!
Circle Line Cruises is hosting a special night ride around the Statue of Liberty that will give stellar views of the moon over the NYC skyline. You can enjoy a drink from the bar, grab a snack from the cafe, and get to 'gramming. The cruise leaves from Pier 83 and starts at $38. You can learn more and buy tickets here.
And while you're on water, gazing at the lunar spectacle, be sure to honor Moonstruck and yell: La Bella Luna!
