Jesús Nuñez, the corporate chef at Socarrat Paella Bar, is giving Spain's national dish a New Yawk accent today at Edible Manhattan's Good Spirits event. Along with pulled pork, red cabbage, corn and Bomba rice, Nuñez's Big Apple Paella will star ingredients from two NYC food icons: salami from Katz's Delicatessen and beef franks from Nathan's Famous.
If you can't make it to Good Spirits later today for a meaty first taste, the limited-edition, artery-clogging special will be served from March 9 through April 12 at all Socarrat locations, including Chelsea and Nolita.
