If you're lucky, Hudson Yards could end up being your backyard.
Applications are now open for affordable apartments in the "Hi-Side," a 345-foot tall tower designed by BKSK Architects that recently topped off at 509 West 38th St.
The building, which is adjacent to Hudson Park Boulevard in the booming neighborhood, has 46 affordable apartments available. One-bedrooms will cost $980 per month and two-bedrooms will cost $1,183 per month.
You can find out more about the income requirements for the units (ranging from salaries of $32,640 to $54,360) at Housing Connect. If you meet the criteria, you'll also be able to submit an application on the site.
Whatever ends up occupying the 46 apartments will have access to an abundance of perks including a roof garden, sweeping views of the city, a gym, a private lounge and a "music jam room!" Hip!
Preference for half of the units will go to residents of Manhattan Community Board 4 which encompasses Chelsea and Hell's Kitchen. The last day to submit an application is October 4.
