RECOMMENDED: The best ways to bike New York
The map below, obtained by Brooklyn Paper from Community Board 1, shows the recommended locations for 53 new Citi Bike locations in North Brooklyn. Many of the recommended docks are by popular destinations including McCarren Park, McGolrick Park and the Williamsburg Bridge. The planned locations cover an area from Flushing Avenue at the edge of Bushwick all the way to a block south of Newton Creek.
Citi Bike spokesperson Dani Simons tells Gothamist, "This map reflects DOT's recommended station locations for Citi Bike's expansion Williamsburg and Greenpoint this year. The map is based on feedback received via dozens of community meetings in these neighborhoods."
The new docks are expected by the end of the year. So, if you're in desperate need of a condiment stocking stuffer next winter, you'll probably be able to Citi Bike your way to an expert.
