The New York Comedy Festival is almost upon us, and we’re proud to announce our very own showcase in conjunction with the fest: Time Out New York’s Women of Comedy 2014. A celebration of funny women in NYC and the city’s legacy of nurturing female talent, the two back-to-back shows feature some of the best in the business. The shows will take place at Le Poisson Rouge on November 5, one at 7pm, the next at 9:30pm. Hosted by the always-amazing Robin Montague, the line-ups include the absurdly talented likes of Saturday Night Live’s Sasheer Zamata, Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell’s Aparna Nancherla, Late Night With Seth Meyers’ Michelle Wolf and Nikki & Sara Live’s Sara Schaefer, with many more soon to be confirmed. Just click the link to buy tickets to both of the Time Out New York Women of Comedy 2014 shows.
The rest of the schedule for the New York Comedy Festival was also announced this afternoon, and holy bananas, is it a good one this year. The full line-up can be found on the NYCF’s site, but highlights include Tig Notaro at Town Hall, Monroe Martin at The Stand, Marc Maron at the NYU Skirball Center, Jeff Ross’ “Roast Battle” at the Gramercy Theater, Amy Schumer at Carnegie Hall, Hannibal Buress at Town Hall, Nick Offerman at the Beacon Theater, Maria Bamford at Town Hall, Bill Maher at the Beacon Theater, and the one and only Bill Cosby at Carnegie Hall. And if you manage to get tickets to the Stand Up for Heroes event, you’ll get to see Louis C.K., John Oliver and Bruce Springsteen doing their thing.
tl;dr: Dang, you guys, the NYCF’s line-up is awesome this year.
