Forget about slutty Halloween costumes. Ricky's, the local costume and makeup chain that can be found in just about every Manhattan neighborhood, just got way sexier. Well, Ricky's Midtown location (1412 Broadway at 39th St) is definitely NSFW, at least. That's where sex toy store Babeland has set up shop through February 2015.
Much like its permanent outposts in Brooklyn and the East Village, this Babeland pop-up offers vibrators, high-tech couple's toys and its popular 'Orgasm in a Box' gift sets. (Hello, holiday shopping!) You won't find Babeland's complete offerings here, though; it's more of a curated collection.
To celebrate the new pop-up, there's a party in space on Friday 14, 6–8pm. The event will feature music from DJ Lady Bree, free hair and makeup touch-ups (from the Ricky's pros), sex tips (from the Babeland experts), drinks and snacks. Between the mini-makovers and the sex tips, you'll have all the tools you need for a very successful Friday night. And it's a good idea to get there on time because the first 25 guests get a product-filled gift bag.
