After a long waiting game with Con Edison, Mu Ramen, the ever-popular ramen pop-up from husband-and-wife team Joshua (Per Se) and Heidy Smookler (Buddakan), has finally been given the go-ahead to open its brick-and-mortar in Long Island City.

Slated to start service on Monday, the brick-walled slurp shop will serve four ramen bowls, each with different noodles, as well as tebasaki gyoza (foie-gras–stuffed chicken wings). We're awaiting more details about the menu, but if their okonomiyaki is any indication of what's to come, we couldn't be more excited—that grilled Japanese cabbage pancake makes us want to eat breakfast for every meal of the day

Stay tuned for more updates and, while you're waiting to get slurps in, check out some of the city's best noodle shops.
