Listen, we're not kidding—these tickets are going to evaporate fast, by our reckoning. Soul hero D'Angelo is playing the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem on Saturday, February 7, and it's billed as "An evening with…," so you can expect something pretty intimate. It's the golden-voiced singer's first show in celebration of Black Messiah—his first album following his tantalizingly extended break from the limelight. In other firsts, it's D'Angelo's first headlining slot at the Apollo, though he actually won Amateur Night three times, back in the day (the story goes, he invested his winnings from the competition to buy equipment to make Brown Sugar, his delicious debut). This show will kick off his international tour, the Second Coming.
