Nicki Minaj received a Key to the City, because of course she did

Trinidad-born, Queens-raised rap powerhouse Nicki Minaj received the key to her borough on Monday night. Queens Borough President Melinda Katz awarded Minaj with the key for her "outstanding career achievements in music." Considering the fact that she's sold more than 50 million singles worldwide and launched a golden age of female rap that has not seen since the reign of Lil' Kim, Trina and Eve, I'd say calling Minaj "outstanding" is an understatement. 

Minaj posted the image of the key on her Instagram account:
