The business launched in Dusseldorf, Germany, where the technology was originally developed for medical purposes like scanning cancer patients for prosthetics and facial implants. Now on the retail side, step into the Wooster Street hub, where a white-paneled chamber (a.k.a. the biggest photo booth you’ve ever seen) uses 54 cameras to capture a 360-shot of you striking your very best pose. After your close-up, the photo files are transmitted to computers at DOOB’s warehouse in Brooklyn, where a set of printers create your miniature (the smallest costs $95) or life-size ($695) tchotchke.
