Maybe you thought you'd be goin' up on a Tuesday this morning. Instead, if you were headed to Manhattan from Queens, you either couldn't catch a train for an hour or were actually trapped on your rush hour N or Q train with no escape from the mouthbreather standing beside you.
Around 9am the MTA pulled service between 57th Street-7th Avenue and Queensboro Plaza because there was a track fire somewhere in the tunnel (is it just me or is random smoke appearing in our subway systems, like, a lot?). Service "resumed" around 9:25am, but there were still extensive delays and a whole lot of angry New Yorkers (at least the L train closure is over?). We gathered up some gems for you to enjoy:
PSA: The N/Q train ain't running. Rent a camel since city bike shows Queens no love.

How's everyone's first morning of Mercury in retrograde going? Because I'm currently stuck on an N train.

An hour and forty five minutes to get to work. Cool N train. Are you fucking kidding me @MTA ??

Today it took me an hour and three trains to get from Bay Ridge to Union Square. Apparently one N train car full of smoke. Typical commute.

I've got Drake's entire discography on my phone and a purse full of fruits. I'm ready for this N train debacle.
