If you didn’t have to buy a new MetroCard on the way to work today, just know that the start of your week could have been a lot, lot worse. MetroCard vending machines across the city simultaneously stopped accepting debit and credit cards this morning.
The MTA is currently working on fixing the glitch, which they say was in issue with Verizon. Currently, about 100 stations are affected by the malfunction.
