It's going to feel like summer again this week with record temperatures

Just when you were going to finally ask your roommate to help remove your personal AC window unit so that it doesn't slip and fall on a pedestrian on your street, weather experts are warning of a nasty heat spike coming to NYC. The National Weather Service predicts near-record October highs, with Central Park hitting 81 degrees on Wednesday.

I was just in Los Angeles, and anytime a capri-wearing grouch would explain to me how unbearable New York weather is, I would snipe back that unlike L.A.'s Truman Show vibe of consistently bland weather, Fall in New York is epic. I told them all how I would be making a triumphant return to brisk air, changing leaves and sexy sweaters. How wrong I was!

Fortunately, the NWS forecasts a return to vaguely seasonal weather by the end of the week, with mid-60s temperatures on Friday.

On the bright side, if this weather continues, you won't have to worry about being cold in your skimpy Halloween costume.

The polls are open! Vote for your favorite spots that deserve a Love New York Award.
