As New York once again readies itself for the parades, corned beef and emerald-hued wave of drunkenness known as St. Patrick's Day, the dessert wizards at OddFellows will debut a new boozy ice cream flight ($10) at their Williamsburg parlor, featuring three of the shop's mouthwatering flavors infused with grade-A Irish whiskey.
Offered from March 11 until the end of April, the spread includes a scoop inspired by legendary barkeep Dale DeGroff's Irish Coffee recipe at Dead Rabbit (Clontarf 1014, demerara sugar, coffee, cream) topped with Kahlúa-infused Rice Krispies, as well as a more straightforward number, imbued with spicy-citrusy Knappogue Castle 12-year single-malt hooch. The final creation is a burnt marshmallow ice cream built with Little Boo Boo Bakery's handmade marshmallows, which are laced with Knappogue 12, pepper, cocoa and hazelnut.
