New Yorkers love to walk. No matter how many Ubers we call, taxis we hail, or subway cars we squeeze into, most of us are perfectly happy to get from point A to point Z by plugging in our headphones, turning up Spotify, and weaving our way through a crowded sidewalk. So what better way to celebrate the beginning of fall (and some of the best weather of the year) than with an amazing stroll through one of the five boroughs? In this week’s issue of Time Out New York, we lay out itineraries for some of the best walks in the city, whether you’re interested in graffiti, architecture, nature or outdoor drinking.

Elsewhere in the issue, we talk with the voices behind Bob’s Burgers (over actual burgers, naturally) before the Emmy-award winning show’s fifth season premieres this Sunday. We also give New York transplants advice on the best spots to visit when they're homesick (Brits, be sure to swing by Tea & Sympathy), and toast the 80th anniversary of the Bloody Mary by running down the top bars to get the iconic drink across the city (like the King Cole Bar, where it all began). After that, you can find out which long-term pop-up shops you should be spending your paycheck at this weekend (Kiosk) and why classical theater and booze are actually a match made in heaven. Plus, our five-star review of Gone Girl. Go take a walk!
