House of Vans 2017 lineup of free shows includes Digable Planets and Descendents

Every year, Brooklyn’s House of Vans hosts some of the summer's best free shows in its annual series of concerts. The venue just announced the lineup for its 2017 schedule, and it's another slew of amazing artists. This year, recently reunited rap trio Digable Planets kicks off the series, performing alongside Chicago rapper Joey Purp (May 18). You'll also find insurrectionary punk crew Downtown Boys playing with the equally vociferous Sheer Mag (July 12), Beach Fossils playing its dreamy brand of indie pop (June 1) and classic punk institution Descendents closing things out (Aug 3).
