As I write this, it's 70 degrees outside (in early March!)—and it seems likely we'll just skip over spring straight into summer. One summer weekend you can start planning is June 6–12, when Northside Festival takes over Brooklyn. The largely Williamsburg-based music fest (with technology/innovation/film elements) has announced its initial lineup of acts, with headliners including Brian Wilson (performing Pet Sounds), Conor Oberst, Kacey Musgraves and Wolf Parade. At least one of those—Wolf Parade on June 9—will be a free outdoor show, and RSVP opens on Friday, March 11 at noon. Badges for the whole thing are on sale now.
