Here's a summery sneak peek of Rockaway Taco offshoot Tacoway Beach

We know, we know, it's a miserable Monday monsoon outside but soon, we promise, it will be summer, a time of salt-kissed beach air, cloud-free sunny days and mountains of stellar beer-battered fish tacos—if Andrew Field has anything to say about it. The co-owner of famed Beach 96th Street taco shack Rockaway Taco is setting up a solo taqueria operation, Tacoway Beach, at the nearby Rockaway Beach Surf Club starting May 1st.

Running seven days a week from noon to 12:30am (best midnight snack ever?), the new digs will offer fan favorites like those fish-crammed tortillas and fresh-squeezed watermelon juice, but is expanding with outdoor seating and canned craft suds like Narragansett Del's Shandy and Porkslap Pale Ale.
